For the most part, this is
simply a page of links to many other sites that deal with the topic of gay
Christianity--from a positive standpoint--and links to pages dealing with political issues
regarding the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered peoples in society.
There are also a few pages
that I have done personally.
Among those are: About me
& Text Files
The topic of the
"About Me" page is pretty obvious ;o)
The "Text Files"
page contains links to a few text files I have chosen to post here which examine certain
aspects of the Bible from the original languages. They were not written by me. They were
given to me by people I have met online. Since the files came from different people and,
for the most part, agree with one another, I would have to assume that there is some truth
in what they say.
I am not a scholar, and I
am not a theologian. I am simply providing these files for others to perhaps open their
minds to the possibilities of what the Truth really is.
I believe in God, and I
believe in the inspiring nature of faith in Him. I also believe that He blessed us with
intelligence, and that it's there for us to use; not to ignore or to be feared, but to be
shared with Him, through Him, and by faith in Him to find out what the Truth really is in
all aspects of our lives--to the best of our abilities. What more does God ask of us,
really?
We should not fear Truth,
for Truth is from God. We should fear a false truth imposed on us by others. We should
caution ourselves, and our brothers and sisters, not to believe in the words and thoughts
of those who claim to be of God, but whose words never show an ounce of humility; those
who speak in God's place, while possessing a heart blackened by their own arrogance.
Without faith, we can be
blind to the Truth. Work on your faith and humility before God, in His greatness, and from
within your heart, and perhaps the Truth will fill your being with joy and
understanding--and the burden of the untruths may be less of a weight upon your shoulders.
Being humble before God
sometimes suggests to people that they are weak before mankind. I am not sure why they
feel this way. It is simply not true.
As you read these files, or
anything else you might read on your journey, try to open your heart to God, and perhaps
the Truth will be made known to you. If your heart is as a rock, try to remember that we
all can be blinded (yes, even you), and we all have to seek the Truth--through faith.
I wish you peace on your journey!
Michael
